Edible Crop Extrapolations under the Long-Term Arrangements for Extension of Use to be transferred to Specific Off Label Approvals
To prevent the Maximum Residues Levels (MRLs) programme closing off a large number of uses granted under the Long Term Arrangements for Extension of Use (LTAEU), they are being converted to formal authorisations. These will be issued by PSD, over the coming months, as Specific Off Label Approvals (SOLAs).

Big Fine Imposed for Illegally Importing an Unapproved Pesticide
On 6th October 2005 Aylesbury Magistrates found a distributor guilty of illegally importing an unapproved pesticide into the UK. The Court expressed its concern at the large amount of pesticide product that was involved and expressed the view that the distributor should have taken steps to ensure that he knew what the law was before importing pesticide products.

Human Health Incidents Survey 2002 - 2004
In Ferbruary this year we requested information on all possible "human health incidents" reported to Approval Holders during 2003 and 2004. This applied to professional as well as home/garden products, and on all actual and potential exposure to pesticides no matter how trivial. Responses were received from all Approval Holders with extant approvals during 2003 and 2004. The results of the Survey are published with this Update.

Conference on Re-Registration
