Commercial withdrawal of the parallel permit for the product ‘CS Azoxy’ (MAPP No 14954)

Regulatory Update: 18/2012
Issued: 17 May 2012

Under the terms of Article 45 of EC Regulation 1107/2009, the parallel permit for the plant protection product ‘CS Azoxy’ (MAPP No 14954) has been withdrawn at the request of the permit holder, Chemsource Ltd. The reason for the withdrawal was that Chemsource Ltd advised CRD that no further supplies of CS Azoxy remain in the supply chain.

The terms of the withdrawal notice dated 27th April 2012 are that CS Azoxy may not be sold or supplied by any persons after 1st May 2012 but it may continue to be stored and used until 1st November 2012 by which date all remaining stocks must have been disposed of.

Background

Chemsource Ltd was originally granted a permit to place CS Azoxy on the UK market on 27th May 2010. This was subsequently extended to 31 July 2021 in a Notice dated 22 August 2011 (issued following the publication of Commission Directive 2010/77/EU extending the expiry of azoxystrobin to 31 July 2021).
