PSD Stakeholder Satisfaction Survey

PSD’s Customer and Stakeholder Satisfaction Survey 2008/09 was conducted on our behalf by QA Research. In order to reach a wider range of our customers and stakeholders it was decided to run a two stage survey. Firstly, a web based questionnaire was used to obtain quantitative and qualitative data from customers and stakeholders. This was followed up with more in-depth telephone case studies to obtain a greater understanding of the issues that emerged from the analysis of the web based survey.

Results of the Survey

Overall the results have been extremely positive. The Directorate continues to be highly regarded as a regulator providing high quality and readily accessible advice, services and information to its customers and stakeholders. The Directorate is widely regarded as an organisation with an excellent technical knowledge and understanding of issues within its field.

The Way Forward

Suggestions for continued improvement have been considered and will be taken forward accordingly. In particular, we will seek to enhance our web-site to further improve the clarity and accessibility of the information we provide to our customers and stakeholders.

The majority of respondents are aware of PSD’s move to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and in line with comments made we will be running another survey in 2 years time to measure the impact of the benefits we intend to implement. This will include the proposed benefits of the merger of PSD with other parts of HSE on 1st April 2009 to create the Chemicals Regulation Directorate for the regulation of pesticides, biocides, detergents and industrial chemicals.
