Reminder of Forthcoming Seminar on the Physical Chemical Properties Of Plant Protection Products Thursday 5th July 2012

The Chemicals Regulation Directorate will be holding a one-day seminar which will provide an update to the key areas of the chemistry risk assessment for Active Substances and Plant Protection Products. The seminar will be held at Cedar Court Grand Hotel in York on Thursday, 5th July 2012. The day will start at 9.30 am and finish at around 4.30 pm. The cost per delegate will be £360.00 (+20% VAT).

Format of the day:

The event will cover new legislation and new data requirements, draw attention to new and revised guidance and highlight commonly encountered problems. The event will be designed specifically for technical and regulatory staff involved in the production and submission of data to CRD.

It is proposed that the programme will cover areas including:

  • Overview of the current and new data requirements for active substances and Plant Protection Products
  • EU guidance – changes and current state of play
  • Methods of analysis requirements
  • Technical equivalence
  • Formulation changes – major or minor?
  • Common problems with applications and submitted data
  • Future developments
