PSD reviews the fees it charges for its services on an annual basis. The 2007/08 review was recently completed and highlighted a number of areas for consideration. A consultation paper detailing these considerations and offering proposals has been issued to all approval holders and interested parties for comment.
In summary the proposals contained in this consultation paper provide for a charging structure which is transparent, equitable and with the flexibility to match fees to the varied application types that PSD handles. It provides a more consistent and simplified approach and aims to recover the full costs directly from the recipient of the service.
Recipients are asked to consider and comment upon the proposals outlined in this paper. The consultation period will be open for 6 weeks from 31 March to 9 May 2008 .
