Announcing an organisational change in HSE/Pesticides Safety Directorate

HSE has written to all its stakeholders to announce an organisational change to its delivery of approvals schemes for pesticides and biocides, Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of CHemicals (REACH), detergents and other supply legislation (e.g. Classification, Labelling and Packaging). A new directorate, the Chemicals Regulation Directorate (CRD), will be created on 1st April 2009. Kerr Wilson, currently Chief Executive of the Pesticides Safety Directorate (PSD), will become Director of CRD.

We are committed to building upon our current service and good working relationships with our stakeholders. We will be actively managing the change to ensure business continuity, and in the longer term we aim to deliver business benefits for stakeholders.
