• Revocation of Approval for Use of Pirimiphos-methyl as a Structural Treatment
  2 February 2010: This Regulatory Update highlights the withdrawal of approval for the use of pirimiphos-methyl as a structural treatment from 31 January 2010.
• Chargeable Service for Downloading Approvals Information in XML Format
  29 January 2010: CRD is considering introducing a new search application on the website.  This will produce product-related information drawn from notices of approval in an XML (eXtensible Markup Language) format for  download from our website. Access would be via a fee-based subscription service. This Information Update gives details and requests feedback from stakeholders on the proposal.
• Changes to Labelling and Other Requirements for Home and Garden Pesticides (2)
  28 January 2010: This Regulatory Update replaces 30/2009. It clarifies the use of the ‘child and pet logo’ for products other than lawn treatments and amends the timetable for changing labels. In addition it clarifies the use of scatter diagrams and written instructions for slug pellet products.
• Fine Imposed for Illegally Storing an Unapproved Pesticide Product
  19 January 2010: This Information Update gives notice that on 11 January 2010 at Norwich Magistrates court, following legal proceeding taken by HSE, Mr George Farrow was convicted of an offence relating to the storage of an un-approved pesticide product.
• Consumer Risk Assessment Training – Tuesday 23rd and Thursday 25th February, 2010 (2)
  14 January 2010: There are still a limited number of places remaining at CRD’s training workshops on Consumer Risk Assessment  in York on Tuesday 23rd and Thursday 25th February, 2010 (which were announced in Information Update 23/2009)  
• Regulatory Update(2): Products to be withdrawn from the market containing diphenylamine or triazoxide
  7 January 2010: This Regulatory Update provides information about the expiry dates for diphenylamine and triazoxide products as a result of non-inclusion in Annex I of Council Directive 91/414/EEC.
• Regulatory Update(2): Products to be withdrawn from the market containing bifenthrin
  7 January 2010: This Regulatory Update provides information about the expiry dates for bifenthrin products as a result of non-inclusion in Annex I of Council Directive 91/414/EEC.

• Prior Informed Consent
  3 December 2009: The HSE website pages regarding Prior Informed Consent for the export and import of dangerous chemicals have been re-designed and updated (December 2009)
• Potential & Agreed Changes to MRLs
  28 January 2010: Our page regarding proposals for MRLs (under discussion or pending publication) and published regulations has been updated.
• FAQ on Regulation 396/2005
  24 November 2009: We have now updated the page giving guidance on MRLs to include a link to a  FAQ on Regulation 396/2005.
• Efficacy Guidelines
  27 October 2009: Draft Efficacy guideline - Further to SANCO/221/2000-rev.10, issued 25 February 2003, CRD propose further advice on the efficacy aspects of determining relevant groundwater metabolites in the draft document Groundwater metabolites - guidance on efficacy aspects. Draft issued 1 October 2009. Comments from interested parties are invited on this draft proposal. Comments are also invited on Draft Efficacy guideline 617 - Re-registration of  triazole uses in cereals: fungicide resistance issues, issued 9 July 2009.
• Defra consultation on detergents October 2009
  27 October 2009: Defra is consulting on an update to the 2005 Detergent Regulations. This update will include changes to derogation application procedures and the implementation of a ban on inorganic phosphates in domestic laundry cleaning products (DLCPs).
• 2009 Quarterly Reports
  14 January 2010.  A spreadsheet for quarter 1 - 3 of pesticide poisoning of animals for 2009 is now available
